no more mullet man

I have been meaning to post something about this, but couldn't find our camera cord to download the pictures. About a week ago Nathan and I decided that Beckett needed a makeover. The mullet needed to leave. So Nathan got out his clippers and performed the greatest haircut of his career. It was perfect. Here are the pictures to prove it.
Before...
During...
Nathan's intense concentration...
After...and don't worry, we saved the hair!
Also, just for your viewing pleasure, I have included these pictures.
This was a couple weeks ago. It was getting later on in the morning and I hadn't heard from him. When I walked into his bedroom this is what I found.

These pictures document our first outing in the jogging stroller. Beckett loved it. We jogged down to a nearby park and had a great time.

tidbits

Sleeping Baby

Since Beckett’s 3 month birthday (April 29th) he has been sleeping through the night. And I’m not talking just a 5-6 hour stint. We’re going for 11-12 hours each night. Lately it has been about 9:30pm to 9:30am. So, here’s a shout out to my little sleeper who continues to amaze me with how well he’s figuring out this whole ‘life’ thing.

Digital Scrapbooking

Two people got me interested in this new (and fabulous) way to scrapbook. First, Logan’s wife, Paula emailed me once asking if I knew anything about ‘digital scrapping’. I didn’t. Next, I was looking on Suzanne Hart’s blog and she had some links. SO…I started looking around and reading up on it. Well, let me tell you. I have found a new hobby. It is awesome. I have had so much fun learning about it and playing around. Here are a couple samples of things I’ve tried. More to come…

Frozen Grapes

Nathan and I have found a new treat. Frozen grapes are our new favorite thing. Take a bunch, put them in the freezer for an hour or two and voila! You have a wonderful tasty, frozen, yummy treat. You should all try it out.

My New Toys

First of all, for mother’s day, Nathan got me an IPOD Nano which I love. I bought an awesome pink armband for it on Ebay (for $3) and I’m set to go. This toy, along with my new jogging stroller make for a fun run. I have now been running (or should I say walking and jogging) 5 days a week for 2 and ½ weeks now…and I’m loving it! The jogger is awesome, Beckett loves it, and all around it is just fabulous.

Happy Birthday to a Special Girl

Couldn’t finish this post off without giving a shout out to one of my favorite girls. Lacher turned 18 today. Whew! I (along with several young men) didn’t think this day was ever going to get here :) She’s legal!!! I’m so glad that it finally did. I love you Lacher and hope you know how special you are.

As Promised...

I had a wonderful mail day today. Went to the mailbox and found so many treats. Nathan got a birthday present from brother Logan, I got a letter from Lacher, and my mom sent me the pictures from our weekend to Utah for Beth and Ty's Graduation. So, here are some fun ones from the weekend. I was a loser that weekend and didn't take very many picts with Nathan's family. Better next time. :)
My beautiful sister posing by the infamous BYU sign.
I love Beth so much. Isn't she beautiful!
Beckett is sporting the BYU hat for effect. It didn't match the outfit, but we didn't care.
Juliana is getting so big. Her and Tyler are expecting a little girl on August 26th. Fun times!
It was so fun to see Dillon for the last time before he leaves on his two year mission to Nirobe Kenya. He has about a month and a half until he leaves. He is both excited and nervous.
Beth was Valedictorian in the Neuroscience department at BYU. This is the write up posted in one of the buildings on campus. She constantly amazes me.
They did it!! Whoo-hoo!!!
And last but not least, this is Beth and her boyfriend, Brenan. He is such a wonderful guy. We grew up together, and the more I get to know him the more I like him. They are so cute together.

Nerfer

Even though it is Mother’s Day coming up, and not Father's Day, I have been thinking a lot about Nathan and want to share a few of my thoughts. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband, who looks after and cares for me and works so hard to provide for our family. He gets up each morning without complaint to work an insane amount of hours and then comes home and patiently listens to me complain about my insignificant problems and helps take care of Baby. The other night I was watching him play with Beckett. He was singing songs and reciting rhymes and I couldn’t help but smile at him. I love him for so many reasons. He is smart, funny, kind, strong, and soft (not only around the middle-but in the gentle way). He makes me smile everyday. I am blessed to have such a partner to spend this life and the eternities with. I love you sweetie.

I don't have a lot of pictures of our weekend with our families, however, here are a few with our friends Arch and Shantay, and Zach and Keri. Arch and Shantay had a little baby girl, Zalie Jaide a few weekends after Beckett was born, and we just found out that Zach and Keri are expecting! Yay for babies! The last picture is one for the books. Here is the four generation picture of all my Roberts men! I love them all.

becketts sweet photo shoot...

Sorry about the wait- Beckett and I have continued our world traveling and this past trip took us to Utah and Idaho. We were in Provo for a few days to celebrate Tyler and Beth’s graduation from BYU and then we were off to Idaho Falls where Hayley (Nathan’s cousin) got married. It was so fun to see our families and to be able to spend some more time together. However, the pictures for today are of Beckett’s awesome photo shoot in Canada. I just got them from my mom and wanted to share with all of you. Enjoy!
